The new Amarok.

The Amarok is more than a pickup. One look inside makes this clear. The equipment level is like that of a passenger car. The Amarok has an ergonomic design, high-grade workmanship and offers plenty of head and leg room on both the front and the rear seats. The smooth-running engine and therefore the low interior noise level adds to the feeling of comfort.

The seats for the driver and front passenger are height-adjustable and, on request, heated. The cockpit features high-grade materials; the layout of the controls is well thought-out. The doors have extremely useful storage pockets which can take 1.5 litre bottles. The centre console behind the gear lever has two integrated cup holders and, on the Trendline and Highline, it also houses a standard storage box with lid. Even more stowage space is provided by drawers under the front seats – these belong to the standard equipment of the Trendline and Highline.

All three model versions are equipped with high-quality cloth upholstery. Leather upholstery can be ordered for the Trendline and Highline. The interior in all vehicles is fitted with carpeting but a robust floor covering with a washable surface is available as an option. The comfortable rear seats offer plenty of legroom. The cinema-type seats ensure flexibility as they can be folded up to create space for everything that you do not want to stow on the load platform.

When you sit at the wheel you can see all important data at a glance on the multifunction display, e.g. average fuel consumption. The windows and door mirrors have electric operation; central locking has radio remote control. An anti-theft warning system, including an electronic immobiliser and acoustic warning, is offered as an option in conjunction with central locking.

The semi-automatic “Climatic” air conditioner ensures a pleasant temperature and a good climate. It is standard on the Amarok Trendline and available as an option for the Amarok. The Amarok Highline is equipped with the “Climatronic” air conditioner. This makes it possible to create two different temperature zones for the driver and the front passenger, and also takes the intensity of the sun’s rays and outside temperature into account.

An “RCD 210” radio system belongs to the standard equipment of the Amarok and the Amarok Trendline. It includes an MP3 compatible CD player, an interface for mobile phone preparation, and two or four loudspeakers. Two additional rear speakers are included with the “RCD 310” radio system which is standard on the Amarok Highline and available as an option for the other two model versions. The “RNS 315” offers all functions of the "RCD 310" and, in addition, a navigation function and mobile phone preparation.
