The exterior appearance of the new California Beach makes you want to head straight for the waves. The dynamic character of the engine compartment lid invites you to take a short sunny trip to the beach. Elegant door mirrors and tail lights visually enhance the vehicle length of 4.90 metres, and the standard halogen headlights set interesting accents. The California comes in a range of exciting paint finishes, such as Sunny Yellow, to give your vehicle a distinctive look. And for an even more individual touch, the cape2cape package is available upon request.

On your way to the beach, you’ll appreciate the de luxe seats with armrests and lumbar support for the driver and front passenger. They offer ideal lateral support and ensure maximum comfort while you travel. The clearly arranged cockpit with a 2-eye instrument cluster offers ergonomic functionality. This is also ensured by the height and rake adjustment for the steering wheel.

In case you do not wish to transport your sporting equipment inside the vehicle, you can use the basic carrier by Volkswagen Genuine Accessories as the basis for all kinds of attachments – from ski and snowboard holders, surfboard and kayak holders to the practical roof boxes.

The 2-seater bench seat slides along two rails in the floor and can be moved smoothly into an almost endless choice of positions. Folding down the backrest creates a comfortable sleeping surface. The 3-seater bench seat* can also be moved smoothly forwards and backwards and can be quickly converted into a bed measuring 150 x 188 cm when used in combination with the multiflex board.

The California Beach with normal roof has several stowage compartments to offer plenty of storage space. And this already ample space can even be significantly increased by choosing the optional elevating roof for additional roof storage. The manually operated elevating roof is easy to open. It increases the height of the California Beach to 1.98 metres. After all, freedom starts in your mind.

Available as an option, the bed for the upper level measures 120 x 200 cm. A slatted frame under the mattress provides maximum comfort and it is possible to sit upright at the front of the sleeping surface.

A folding table completes the interior and can be stored in the sliding door when not in use. And while you relax and replenish your energy, the standard curtains protect you from prying glances from outside. When open, the sliding window on the left-hand side of the passenger compartment can be equipped with the flyscreen included in delivery.
