Every journey leaves a lasting impression – and so does the California Comfortline. The attractive appearance of its front is enhanced with chrome trim and standard halogen headlights. Front fog lights mounted on the lower bumper complement the elegant overall impression and the static turning light ensures that travelling in the California Comfortline is not only exceptionally pleasant, but also safe on blind intersections and road junctions. The optional 3-zone air conditioning system “Climatronic” allows individual temperature adjustments for the driver, front passenger and the passenger compartment for a pleasant interior climate while you drive.

The California Comfortline is impressive when stationary, too. Its automatically elevating roof creates additional space and a folding bed in the pop-up roof area has a slatted frame and high quality mattress to offer a comfortable sleeping surface measuring 120 x 200 cm. The optional mosquito windows on the sides of the electro-hydraulic pop-up roof provide plenty of light – if you wish to admire the sunrise, all you have to do is lift your head.

When you spend the night on the lower berth in the California Comfortline, you can darken the driver’s cab easily and effectively with the snap-in opaque shades for the side windows and dark blinds for the windscreen.
The optional awning offers shade on days when the sun is scorching. The awning case is mounted above the sliding door and is available in black or silver depending on the colour of the vehicle.

If you like, you can take a seat under the awning in one of the two comfortable folding chairs, which are standard for the California Comfortline. They can easily be stored in a compartment in the tailgate lining when not in use. And the tailgate tent * with two windows and a removable side door offers a practical extension to your living space or can function as a shower cabin when used in combination with the integrated splash guards.

The movable worktop is suspended on the kitchen unit and supported by a pull-out leg. The deluxe seats offer ideal lateral support and are equipped with two armrests each as well as lumbar support. Driver’s and front passenger seat can be swivelled through approximately 180°, but are not height-adjustable.

No matter how relaxing a holiday is, travelling always stimulates the appetite. Which is why the California Comfortline is equipped with a fully-functional kitchen unit. Cooking is a real pleasure on the two-burner hob and there is plenty of room for food supplies in the 42-litre compressor cool box. After the meal, you can clean your camping dishes and eating utensils in the sink before storing them in the practical drawer and cutlery tray underneath.

Another drawer under the bench seat offers additional storage space. And you’ll find even more storage space in the rear wardrobe and adjacent shelved cupboard. Even at an angle, both can easily be reached thanks to the hinged cover and roller shutter.
